End User License Agreement (EULA)

Last Updated: March 4, 2026

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User," "Merchant," or "You") and Scrit API Receipts ("we," "our," or "us").

By installing, connecting, or otherwise using the Scrit API Receipts application ("Service") with your Square or Clover point-of-sale (POS) systems, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree, do not use our Service.

1. Scope of Service

Scrit API Receipts is an integration service designed to look up, match, and deliver itemized retail receipts generated by your POS (Square or Clover) based on limited bank transaction parameters (such as the last 4 digits of a card, time, and purchase amount).

2. License Grant

Subject to your continuous compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to:

  • Connect your Square or Clover account to our Service.
  • Utilize the Service to transmit and process receipt lookup API requests.

3. Your Account and Access

By integrating our Service, you grant us permission to:

  • Access your POS payment history safely via OAuth protocol.
  • Retrieve order line items and receipt history strictly for the fulfillment of the matching API calls.
  • Temporarily store encrypted OAuth tokens to maintain connectivity with Square and Clover.

You are responsible for revoking our access within your POS dashboard if you no longer wish to use the Service.

4. Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
  • Impersonate any entity or otherwise misrepresent your business affiliation.
  • Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose.
  • Exceed any rate limits or abuse the API interfaces.

5. Warranties and Disclaimers

A. AS IS

The Service is provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

B. Uptime and Third Parties

Because our Service acts as a bridge to third-party APIs (Square and Clover), we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. System availability is subject to the continuous uptime of these third-party POS platforms.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Scrit API Receipts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or other intangibles, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of the Service.
  • Unavailability, delay, or failure of the Square or Clover API platforms.
  • Any unauthorized access or alteration of your transmissions or data.

7. Governing Law

This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Scrit API Receipts operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify or replace this EULA at any time. We will provide a notice of any major changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such modifications.
